OBITUARY Mishael Omega Kelson January 21, 1954 – September 24, 2018 Elder Mishael Omega Kelson, age 64, of Galloway, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018. He was a member of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in the Columbus congregation. He was born on January 21, 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Adv.

Pr. Eld. James William Sr. and Adv.

Sr. Mtr. Mary Louise (Arthur) Kelson. Mishael attended Phoenix College and West Texas State University before becoming the 5th round draft pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After his football career, Mishael worked for the prison systems in both Arizona and Ohio, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his children and granddaughter. He looked forward every day to talking with his siblings.

He loved traveling, especially going back home to Arizona; Mishael had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful story teller. He was a soft spoken, gentle giant who was loved by everyone. Mishael is survived by his loving wife, Sr. Mtr.

Gail (Carr) Kelson whom he married October 27, 1984, son Bro. Gabriel (Monica) Kelson of Canal Winchester, daughter St. Elizabeth Kelson (Sgt. ) USMC of Parris Island, SC; one granddaughter, Abigail Kelson, brothers Timothy (Portia) Kelson and Felix Kelson, sisters Sr. Mtr.

Sarah Farris and Elds. Lydia (Walter) Winrow; mother-in-law Adv. Sr. Mtr.

Thelma Carr, brothers-in-law James (Patty) Carr, Adv. Pr. Eld.

Samuel (Bertilla) Carr, and Leon (Denice) Carr; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Mishael is preceded in death by his brothers Pr. Eld.

James and Bro. Phillip Kelson and father-in-law Bishop Solomon Carr. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3:00-5:00pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home, 186 Park Ave.

, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob with Honorary Sr. Bishop J. Matthias Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Machpelah’s Burial Acres.
