Molly Kate Marshall, 30, of Rochester, MN, passed away as a result of complications from a lengthy illness on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was born April 13, 1989 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Francis and Sarah (Wernecke) Marshall. Molly graduated from Kingsford High School in 2007 and went to college at Eastern Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

She was currently working on her Masters in Educational Leadership and had a teaching position within the Shawano School District. Molly enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, cousin, and niece.

Molly had a passion for life and recently went sky diving. She will be sadly missed by all that loved her. In addition to her parents, Molly is survived by a sister, Richelle (Elena) Esquivel of Arlington, TX; 5 uncles, Robert “Bob” Marshall of Iron Mountain, Tim Marshall of Niagara, Greg (Betty) Marshall of Hartsel, CO, Steven (Nancy) Wernecke of Darien, IL and Randall (Marya) Wernecke of Naperville, IL; 2 aunts, Susie (Fred) Nowack and Tina (Kevin) Van Ginkel; and many cousins.

Molly was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and a sister, Megan Marshall. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 pm on Friday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
