Monty Wayne Combs April 12, 1959 – February 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Monty Wayne Combs passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family after battling a short illness. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on April 12, 1959 to Roy and Rosanna (Blessing) Combs who are both deceased along with his stepfather. He was a past member of the Windfall Church of the Brethren and a current member of the Harmony Christian Church of Leisure, IN.

Monty was a 1977 graduate of Tri-Central High School and a member of the Moose Lodge. Monty was a devout follower of the Lord. He was often quoted that he knew the love of the Lord and that no matter what happened he was on the winning team due to his faith.

Monty loved his family and his community. He served his community for many years on the Wildcat Township Volunteer Fire Department as Safety Officer and First Responder. He worked at and truly loved his job at Beck Hybrids in Atlanta and considered all of his friends at work as extended family.

Monty never met a stranger and was often known to drop everything to help someone in need. He is survived by his wife Tricia Combs, whom he shared over 38 years of marriage with. Also surviving are his three children; Michael (Julie) Combs, Kelly (Zach) Graham, Jenna (Seth) Tolle along with his grandchildren; Brooklin, Logan, Savanah, Abbey, Kaia, Tristan, Cecily, Elliott, Josh, Aireanna, Mallorie, Alexis and Morgan.

Monty is also survived by his sister Linda (Gary) Riley and many beloved nieces, nephews, in laws and extended family & friends. Monty was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and a brother Steve Combs. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton and again from 10 AM to time of services on Thursday.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Thursday morning February 7, 2019 at Porter‘s. Pastor Ron Meyer will be officiating. Interment will take place in the Nevada Cemetery following funeral services.

Monty’s family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the Wildcat and Sharpsville Fire Departments, the community, and the loving staff at Tipton Hospital for their loving care of Monty during his illness.
