Funeral service for Mozelle Eidson Childers, 87, will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Eva Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Robinson, Rev. Gary Driver and Rev.

Dustin Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oden Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eva Baptist Church.

Mrs. Childers died on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1931, in Cullman County to Thomas Lee Eidson and Florence Viola Evans Eidson. She was employed with Summerford Nursing Home for a number of years as a cook.

She was a member of the Eva Baptist Church for over 55 years. Loving the outdoors and gardening, she also enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking and visiting and fellowship with firends and family. She loved taking are of and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most of all she loved and adored her husband of 66 years, William.

The two of them we in separable and their love was evident to everyone who knew them. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers: Wayne Eidson and Edward Eidson and one sister: Mattie Lee Brannan. Survivors include : her Husband: William Henry Childers, Eva, AL One Son: Terry Childers (Rita), Eva, AL One Daughter: Annette Childers Newman (Robert), Eva, AL Two Sisters: Faye Eidson Norris , Madison, AL and Shelby Eidson Harris, Madison, AL Three Grandchildren: Selina (Childers) Snider, (Will), Nick Childers, (Kelly) and Amber (Newman) Baker, (Clint) Six Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Nick Childers, Clint Baker, Will Snider, Phillip Eidson, Tommy Norris and Scott Johnson.
