He was a member of the Saratoga County Bar Association as well as the Schenectady County Bar Association, where he served as president. As a teenager, he worked as a caddy at the original Albany Country Club where he won the New York State Junior Golfers Championship. He was a long-time member of the Edison Country Club where he served as president and was also a member of the Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady. Bill was known for the generosity he extended to many and for the affection and pride he had for his family.
