OBITUARY Muriel F. Boyer May 5, 1928 – December 21, 2018 Muriel F. (Nichols) Boyer, age 90 of New Bedford, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 in Alden Court Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven. She was the wife of the late Edgar A. Boyer. Mrs. Boyer was born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Alton and Euphemia (McDonald) Nichols and spent most of her life living in New Bedford.

She was employed as a Cafeteria Worker in the New Bedford School Department at Carney Academy for many years and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Boyer is the loving mother of Edgar A. Boyer and his wife Cathy of Boone, NC, Dennis Boyer and his wife Anna Mae of Newport, RI, Susan Dansereau and her husband Steven of Acushnet and Sherri Martin and her husband Barry of New Bedford; two sisters Barbara Henriques and Daune Smith both of Fairhaven; a brother Francis Nichols of CT; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Lois Fucci, and Oliver, Malcolm and Edward Nichols. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the nurses and staff at Alden Court and Beacon Hospice for their love and care during her final years. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later time and place to be announced.
