Obituary for Myrtle Ruth Dawson Myrtle Ruth Phillips Dawson, age 81, of Sweetwater, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at home with her daughter, Cindie by her side. She will be able to join her husband and son that she cherished and missed greatly. She was born December 11, 1936.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law. Retired from Steel City after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Lawerence Edward Dawson, a son: Dennis Ray Dawson, her parents: Cad and Betty (Tindle) Phillips, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and care-taker: Cindie Stanley, her sister: Evelyn Woody, both of Sweetwater, three granddaughters: Brooke Beamer , of Florida, Michelle and Nick Branson, of Washburn, TN. , Jennifer Dawson, of Knoxville, 3 great-grandchildren: Drew, Aubrey and Brice Branson, of Washburn, TN. ,.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Special helpful friends: Casey, Chris, and Andy Yates. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev.

Bill Dawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. on Thursday at the Sweetwater Memorial Park for a 11:00 A.M. interment. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements.
