Obituary for Nadine Hawkins Funeral services for Nadine Hawkins, age 86, of Oxford, will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018, 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church Oxford Chapel. Dr. Stan Albright will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10 AM until service time at the church. Mrs. Hawkins passed away on Saturday at her residence. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, James Hawkins, sister, Gerri Howell, son, James Hawkins Jr (Judy), daughters; Barbara Rinehart, Lynn Chapman (Fred), Jeanie Childs (Eddie), Kimberly Andrews, six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Hawkins, Derrick White, Tom Lamb, Chris Faulkner, Anthony Coley, and Paul Harris. Mrs. Hawkins was born on December 8, 1931 to Fletcher and Madge Mixon in Headland, Alabama. She was a longtime member of Frist Baptist Church Oxford, and The Charity Sunday School Class.

The matriarch of the family, she was a devoted wife and mother who was loved greatly and will be missed by many. Mrs. Hawkins worked for Regional Medical Center and the Surgical Clinic of Anniston as an LPN. Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Madge Mixon, and a son in law, Tom Andrews.
