Nancy Gallagher , April 22, 1955 — July 02, 2018

Nancy Eileen Gallagher passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 in Napa, California at the age of 63. Nancy was born on April 22, 1955 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to John R. Metz Jr. and Mary L. Booritch. She graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1973.

On February 10, 1995, she married the love of her life, Dr. Bryan J. Gallagher. She was a loving and kind mother who encouraged her children to pursue their goals and dreams in life. Nancy was passionate about her family and spending all of her time with her kids.

Her family shared a love of Disney and made frequent trips to Disneyland. Nancy loved to travel and would take weekend trips to explore new places. Both her and her late husband Bryan admired our country’s National Parks and would travel the country with their children to see the great outdoors.

Nancy was always festive and that shined through during the holidays. The Gallagher household was thoroughly decorated inside and out. She would spend countless hours decorating while her children were at school so they could experience the magic and happiness of every holiday.

Nancy was especially fond of Christmas and baking Christmas cookies. During December she could often be found in her kitchen making something sweet for her family, friends and neighbors to eat. Nancy is survived by her daughters Tara L. McCoy of American Canyon, Bryanna L. Gallagher of American Canyon and Katie S. Gallagher of American Canyon; her son Rhett M. Gallagher of American Canyon; and sister Janet L. Albin of New Oxford, Pennsylvania.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bryan J. Gallagher; father, John R. Metz Jr.; mother, Mary L. Booritch; and brothers John R. Metz III and Francis G. Metz. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, July 12 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Tulocay Chapel and Reception Hall, 411 Coombsville Road in Napa, California. Joe Oberting will be officiating the ceremony.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nancy’s life. Nancy will then have a funeral mass held at St. Theresa Parish, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania at 11:00am on Monday, July 16 with luncheon following the service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
