Nancy Giles December 7, 1943 ~ December 15, 2018 Nancy Giles, beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Ogden Regional Hospital, Ogden, Utah. Nancy was born on December 7, 1943, in Los Angeles, California to Marion J. Giles, Sr. and Mary Childs Giles. She attended schools in Bellflower, California and was in the first graduating class of Mayfair High School in 1961.

She was active in student government serving as the first Girl’s League President. She later graduated from Brigham Young University, then returned home and began her career at May Co., later Robinson-May/Macy’s. She retired after more than 30 years of service.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings and particularly enjoyed serving the youth in her Lakewood Ward. She also served in Relief Society and was currently serving as a counselor in her Roy Ward.

She also enjoyed her calling in the Seminary and Institute programs in Long Beach. She enjoyed family history work and was a member of the Sunbonnet Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. One of her greatest loves were her dogs and cats.

They were very dear to her and she was always very sad when they passed. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Marion J. Giles (Mickie) and Harold C. Giles. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn G. Olds, sister-in-law, Dorothy F. Giles, nieces and nephews.

bb,S Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Point Cemetery.
