She was born on May 11, 1948, in Perry County, Kentucky, and is the daughter of Arnold Cotten and Cledith Bowling Cotten Hibbard. She had worked in the dietary department at Heritage House for 10+ years, as well as Fayette Regional Health Systems for 10+ years.

She had recently worked at Kroger Deli for six years. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Williams, of Liberty, and Amy (Ronnie) Ash, of Connersville; a son, Randall Scott Hughes, of Connersville; a brother, Arlen (Tammy) Hibbard, of Columbus, Indiana; two sisters, Flo Cotten of Hamilton, Ohio, and Brenda (Brent) King of Liberty, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Miranda (Jason) Spencer, Brittany McClanahan, Cameron & Holden Hughes, Johnie & Madison Isaac, and Brystol & Rylynn Williams; ten great-grandchildren, Haidyn, Adam, Morgan, Ashton, Avery, Kennedy, Leeland Waylon, Devan, and Bexley as well as many nieces, nephews whom she helped raise. She also enjoyed spending time with her cousin Josie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Homer Hibbard; a son, Rodrick Hughes; a sister, Lynda Lawrence, and two brothers, Eddie and Donnie Cotten. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 31, at 11:00am, at the funeral home.
