Nancy Jo Gulley, 80, of Connersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children early Wednesday morning, May 8, 2019, at her home. The only child of Robert Earl and Corinne Ruth Eshelman Hamilton, Nancy was born premature on January 7, 1939, weighing less than three pounds with a fighting spirit that stayed with her for her entire life. She graduated from Redford High School in Detroit, Michigan, and following her graduation, she returned to Connersville to marry Bob Gulley.

On October 19, 1957, Nancy and Bob were married in Central Christian Church, Connersville. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 7, 1970. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and had great faith in Him.

For 51 years, Nancy was a strong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society. She was devoted to her family, church, and service to others. A devoted homemaker, she was proud to be the mother of “nine only children”.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, flowers, family history, sewing, and crocheting. Nancy is survived by six children, Robert Earl Gulley, II of Rexburg, Idaho, Angela Lynn Gulley-Newman of Connersville, Elizabeth Joann (Shane) Hill of Rexburg, Idaho, Timothy Edward Gulley of Noblesville, Indiana, James David Gulley of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rebekah Kay Wright of Connersville; twenty-seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three expected great-grandchildren. Besides her husband of 44 years, Robert Earl “Bob” Gulley who passed away on December 8, 2001, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Vickie Sue Riebsomer and Katherine Ruth Gulley; a son, John Gordon Gulley; and two grandchildren, Alicia and Jason Riebsomer.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Bishop Dan Parker will officiate. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the funeral home.
