Obituary for Nancy Lee Garrett Nancy Lee (Neece) Garrett died peacefully on Monday, July 2nd, 2018, surrounded by family at her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma following a long battle with breast cancer. She was born March 27, 1936 in Ft. Smith Arkansas to George Evan Neece and Eva Lee (Webb) Neece.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Charles Garrett, three children; Chandria Garrett-Convey and husband Simon of Vienna, Virginia, Charles Garrett of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and John Marc Garrett and wife Paula of Houston, Texas. She has 7 Grandchildren; Jesse Hicks and his wife Kayla of Broken Arrow, OK, Brandon Garrett and his wife Rachel of Lawton, OK, Laura Parker of Altus, AR, and Anna Noble and her husband Benjamin of Dallas, TX, as well as 5 Great-Grandchildren: Austin, Nolan, Evelyn, Alana and Johnathan. Nancy graduated from Greenwood High School in Arkansas and the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising.

After moving to Miami, Oklahoma in 1962 she taught evening classes in Tailoring and Fashion Merchandising at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College prior to beginning her Real Estate career in 1972. She founded Nancy Garrett Realty, which she owned and operated until her retirement in 2004. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 – 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Broken Arrow, OK – 112 E College St, Broken Arrow, OK.

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, July 7, in the Benton County Cemetery, Rogers, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation or gift to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
