Nancy Lou Spradlin, 79, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born July 15, 1938 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Ernest Earl and Elma Christine Hayes Bays. Nancy was a member of Wheelersburg Baptist Church and she enjoyed caring for others.

She worked in the meat department at the former Nancy Rae supermarket and retired from the former Festival Foods. An avid Wheelersburg Pirate fan and 1956 graduate, she also loved her trips to Myrtle Beach. Surviving Nancy are two children, Randy Spradlin of Summerville, SC and Robin Conant of Camden, DE; three brothers, Richard “Dick” (Sharon) Bays of Wheelersburg, Robert Bays of Bellevue, MI and David (Dot) Bays of Roseboro, NC; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Conant.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Bays. Graveside services will be held at a date to be announced at Memorial Burial Park with David Bays and Rev. Brad Brandt officiating.
