Age 71 of Wheelersburg, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at SOMC in Portsmouth. He was born January 26, 1947 in Portsmouth to Clyde K. and Peg (Wright) Jones and was a 1964 graduate of Glenwood High School. Kenneth was married for 53 years to Lois and was the love of her life from the 9th grade.

He worked professionally as a UPS truck driver for 35 years, never missing a single day, and earning a 25-year safe driving award of which he was very proud. A member of Christ Sanctuary in Sciotoville, he loved his Pastor, his church family, and his sisters and brothers-in-law dearly. Kenneth enjoyed golf and gardening, but more than anything he loved spending with his family.

He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Jones; son, Scott (Samantha) of Wheelersburg; daughter, Lisa Michelle (Danny) Chamberlin of Columbus; brother, Jerry (Saundra) Jones of Simms, TX; sister, Patty (John) Clerico of Winston Salem, NC; six grandchildren, Trey Whitely, Mandy Giken, Braydon Jones, McKenna Jones, Caleb Boyes, and Savannah Easter; four great-grandchildren, Tyson Carpenter, Mya Giken, Jonah Whitely, and Jensen Whitely; loving aunt, Callie Nelson of Portsmouth. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandson, Mason Jones; mother-in-law, Delilah Holsinger; father-in-law, Arthur Holsinger; father-in-law, Paul Cooper; mother-in-law, Sylvia Cooper.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Steve Phipps officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
