Obituary for Naomi H. Nairn Naomi H. Nairn, age 90, of Ann Arbor passed away on September 3, 2018. Naomi was born on September 9, 1928 in River Rouge, Michigan to parents Verne and Ruth Hunter. She met Edward P. Nairn in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while riding a street car.

They married on her birthday, September 9, 1950 and spent 58 loving years together until his passing in 2009. Edward and Naomi moved to Michigan in 1970 where they raised their children, Edward Jr., Dennis, Nancy, and John. Naomi was an avid golfer and proud of two hole in ones.

She enjoyed rooting for Tigers baseball and University of Michigan football. In her free time she would volunteer for the American Red Cross and would also volunteer to work the polls during elections. Naomi had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed to laugh either among her friends while playing a game of Bridge or being surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her children: Edward Jr. (Carole), Dennis (Pam), Nancy (Tom), and John (Gigi); her grandchildren: Christopher, Emily, Katherine, Michael, Cameon, Kaarin, Carina, Lucia; and her great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Isaac, Alexandra, and Hazel. In honor of Naomi’s deep love for animals, memorial donations can be made to Humane Society of Huron Valley. secure2.
