Obituary for Lou Gary Quillen Lou Gary Quillen, of Ann Arbor and Conway, South Carolina, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Brookdale Ann Arbor. He was 72 years old. Born August 26, 1946 in Neon, Kentucky, he was the son of Clarence and Opal (Johnson) Quillen.

Lou was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army, where he was a Purple Heart Recipient. On November 18, 1967 he married Shirley Thorpe, she preceded him in death in 2013. Lou was a classic car enthusiast, he enjoyed traveling, following the stock market and time spent at the ocean.

He is survived by his children: daughter Clarissa Pawlikowski and her husband Jim of Illinois, and son Lou Quillen and his wife Beth of Ann Arbor; his mother Opal Marquis; one sister Debbie Marquis; and 5 granddaughters: Haley, Sunday, Shelby, Quincey and Rose.
