Obituary for Nell Wilburn (Dickison) Nell Dickison Wilburn, 105, formerly of Grahn, KY, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Wurtland Manor Nursing Home. She was born August 24, 1913 in Grahn, KY. Nell was the last surviving child of the late Thomas and Leotta Tackett Dickison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Jim, Artle, Frank, and Henry Dickison and sisters, Lucy Dickison Sloan Wilburn and Edna Dickison Hamilton. Nell was the oldest and longest living member of the Kentucky Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member for over seventy years.

Nell was a Christian of the Baptist faith and exemplified the life of the virtuous woman. She was ever ready to offer a kind word of encouragement and a helping hand to anyone in need. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Sue (Frank) Dickison and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a dear friend, Phyllis Knipp, who was like a daughter to her.

Special thanks to her nieces, Judy Arthur and Sharon Davis who oversaw her care and nephews, Chad and John Sloan and the late Jim Sloan who were faithful in their frequent visits. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Elder AJ Williamson, officiating at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will follow in the Roar Cemetery in Grahn.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and an hour prior the service at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be at 7:00 p.m. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Wurtland Manor Nursing Home for the exemplary and gracious care provided to Nell during the past two years.
