OBITUARY Noble Head Hendryx April 16, 1921 – September 13, 2018 Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Noble Elizabeth Head Hendryx, 97, passed away September 13, 2018. A resident of Benton for 70 years, she was born in Welsh, LA, the third of four daughters born to Carrie Richardson and George White. She attended Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA, and later attended Shreveport Trade and Vocational School for her LPN degree.

She retired from nursing after a career of 22 years. An avid gardener with a special fondness for flowers and fruit trees, she had fig, apple, peach and apricot trees in her backyard orchard. She enjoyed traveling in her camper and spending time with her family.

A founding member of Cypress Baptist Church, she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class. Noble was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years and the father of her children, Raymond Head, Sr.; second husband, John Hendryx; her parents, her in-laws and her three sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Virginia H. Crawford of St. Francisville, LA, Linda H. Flores of Belcher, LA and Raymond (Sonny) Head, Jr. of Benton, LA; son-in-law, Peyton Crawford; daughter-in-law, Becky Head; eight grandchildren: Chris, Jon and Paul Crawford, Karyn and Tom Flores, Jason and David Head and Melynda Benson, along with sixteen great-grandchildren and eleven nieces, especially Ottie Anders and Anne Boles.

Visitation will be at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, September 17, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Bro. Billy Pierce. Burial will follow the service at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jon and Paul Crawford, Jason and David Head, Tom Flores and James Benson. The family wishes to publicly thank Montcair Park Assisted Living for their care, especially Gloria Turner, and her at-home private sitter, Rhonda Hall. We mourn her leaving, God rejoices in her arrival!

Flores, Daughter Raymond “Sonny” Head Jr., Son Beck Head, Daughter-in-law Mrs. Hendryx is also survived by eight grandchildren: Chris, John and Paul Crawford, Karyn and Tom Flores, Jason ad David Head and Melynda Benson, along with sixteen great-grandchildren and eleven nieces, especially Ottie Anders and Anne Boles.
