Nora Bare, 75, of Laurel passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her home. One of nine children of Gilbert and Alice Gray Woods, Nora was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 12, 1943. On December 13, 1962, Nora married Jerry Lee Bare in Laurel.

Mr. Bare passed away on December 30, 2005. Nora was employed as a nursing assistant at local nursing homes for over 20 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two children, Randy Lee (Denise) Bare of Laurel and Kim Bare Allen of Metamora; six grandchildren, Lacy, Amber, Makayla, Kristen, Kendall, and Lilly; five great-grandchildren, Braylin, Raegan, Macie, Ryder, and Rowan; a sister, Erma Jewel Wagers of Manchester, Kentucky; a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of 43 years, Jerry Lee Bare, Nora was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.

Reverend Tom Marshall will officiate. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the funeral home.
