Norma “June” Ubelhor, age 81, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 6:31 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at home with her beloved family by her side. June was born March 29, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to Carl & Rosemary (Vernon) Powers. She graduated from Central High School in 1955.

She was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ serving as an Elder’s wife and Bible teacher. June was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with many friends. Her love and warmth were evidenced by her radiant and infectious smile.

She loved travel. Hobbies included flower gardening and antiquing. Her community activities included Garden Club, ALS Association, and Ronald McDonald House.

She is survived by her son, Michael V. (Sheila) Ubelhor, of Indianapolis, IN, daughters Carla J. (Terry) Dodson, of Hopkinsville, KY, and Diane L (Paul) Wunderlich, of Newburgh, IN, grandchildren, Zachary (Allyson) Wunderlich, Erin Dodson, Allie (David) Gray, Reid (Krista) Dodson, Mitchell Ubelhor, and Ashley (Ubelhor) Brown; 3 great-grandchildren, Joel Gray, Kensley Dodson, and Brady Wunderlich; brother, Jerry (Barbara) Powers, sister-in-law, Peggy Powers; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses who played an important part during her illness, especially Dr. Edward Fox and Deaconess Hospice. June is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert J. “Bob” Ubelhor, her brother, Carl “Sonny” Powers, and her parents, Carl & Rosemary Powers.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Dan Wade and Terry Liles officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
