Beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the home of Robert and Robin. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Wenger) Kaiser, Norma was born October 26, 1931 in Waterford, Michigan.

She grew up on Bird Island surrounded by the waters of Lake Okland. Her first love was catching turtles as a young lady, passing this on to her children and grandchildren. She married Courtney Rippberger on July 7, 1951.

He predeceased her October 11, 1982. Norma was employed at Bauer Jewelry for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, reading, baking, cooking and sharing her cakes with friends and neighbors.

Surviving are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Robin and Robert Coleman, with whom she made her home; Randy and Nobuko Rippberger, Traverse City; four grandchildren which she loved dearly, Courtney, Casey, John and Michelle. Norma was preceded in death by a brother. A special thanks to Bob Coleman for all help and love given to his mother-in-law.

Norma’s family also extends their gratitude and appreciation Darrell and Susan Mieske for their loving and caring support. Mom you are set Free at Last! Private funeral service has taken place with burial in Kochville Methodist Church Cemetery.
