Betty “Bootsie” Stefanovsky, Zilwaukee, Michigan. Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at her home. Daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Sowinski) Krzyminski, Betty was born on May 19, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan.

She was a 1957 graduate of St. Stanislaus High School. She married the love of her life, Fred Stefanovsky on October 29, 1960 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Together they raised four children in Zilwaukee.

Fred predeceased her on October 10, 2012. She loved being a mother and her hobbies included baking, cooking and she exercised daily at the Sherwood Pool. Betty was a school bus driver for the Saginaw Public School System for 23 years.

Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons and one daughter, Luke and Martha Stefanovsky of West Branch and their son Derek (Katherine) Stefanovsky of New Haven, Conneticut; Joe and Lisa Stefanovsky and their sons, Nathan and Aaron Stefanovsky of Holland Michigan; John and Deanne Stefanovskyof Bay City; Judy Alarie and her children, James, Lindsay Alarie of Bay City; two brothers, Jimmy and Carolyn Krzyminski of Bay City; Dan and Penny Krzyminski of Bay City; her sister, Elaine Mills of Venice, Florida; a sister-in-law, Wilma Szok of Saginaw; brother-in-law, Richard Kosecki of Kawkawlin; many nieces and nephews especially Carrie Butler and Stacy Krzyminski. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Kosecki; brothers -in-law and sister-in-law, Fred Mills, Mike Szok, Dorothy and Ray Burba. The Stefanovsky family wishes to extend a warm thank you to the entire Health Care Team at Covenant Medical Center, Southern Care Hospice Services, Caretel Inns of Tri Cities, DaVita Town Center Dialysis, as well as all of mom’s doctors who have cared for her in recent years.

Your compassion will become a treasured memory. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd. , Saginaw.

Rev. Fr. Patrick O’Connor will officiate.

Private entombment will take place in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Southern Care Hospice or family wishes.
