Zilwaukee, Michigan Beloved father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper Campus. Age 91 years. The son of the late Herman and Hazel (Cosgrove) Baase, Robert was born April 2, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He married Dorothy H. Kingham on February 15, 1947. She predeceased him September 29, 2006. Bob was employed at Delphi Chassis in machine repair for 35 years until his retirement in 1981.

He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and U.A.W. Local #467. Surviving to cherish his memory are two daughters and three sons, Robert D. (Sue) Baase, Jr., Carrollton; Michael (Cheryl) Baase, Lansing; Dawn and Tod Spooner, Saginaw; Shari Csesar, Beaverton; Steven (Tammy) Baase, Carrollton; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Almeda (Daniel) McClaren, Fox Home, Minnesota; Mary Clark, Oklahoma; Hazel Sanburn, Freeland; a sister-in-law, Sue Baase; many nieces and nephews; best friend and companion, Lorraine Surdock. Bob was preceded in death by two daughters, Rena Sue Baase and Brenda (Clarence) Leiner and by his siblings, Agnes Naccarato, Beatrice Cramer, Charles, Louis, David, Harry and Willis Baase.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd. , Saginaw. Rev.

Fr. James Bessert will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.

Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Paul II Parish or the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
