Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones after a year and a half battle with lung cancer. She was 69. Rosa was born September 14, 1949 to Dominic and Rose Provenzano.

She attended St. Stephen’s School and graduated from SVSU pursuing a successful lifelong career in education. In 1971 she married Frederick J. Perry, and together they had two children, Jennifer L. Boyes (Adam) and Lisa M. Reed (Jason). Rosa dedicated herself to her family and to educating others.

Her impact on the people around her was immeasurable. She was a true guiding light for so many and encouraged and brought the best out in everyone that crossed her path. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughters, her six “pride and joy” grandchildren Ava Reed (12), Isabella Reed (12), Ellie Boyes (10), Parker Boyes (8), Maxwell Reed (5) and William Reed (3); and six siblings Annette Provenzano, Giacamo Provenzano (Lynne), Regina Provenzano, Donna Provenzano, Angela Tummelson (David) and Dominic Provenzano (Barbara).

Rosa was predeceased by her brother Joseph and her infant siblings, Michael and Grace Ann Provenzano. Honoring Rosa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service in memory of Rosa will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty). Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations to the American Lung Association.
