Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Wescourt Independent Living. Age 97 years. Daughter of the late Albert J. and Zoah H. (Allore) Packard, Jane was born October 8, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She was married to Alvin G. Easterling in February of 1943. He predeceased her August 23, 1948. Jane was then married to Wayne Traynor on October 21, 1950.

He predeceased her February 6, 2005. Jane was owner and operator of Jayne’s Beauty Shop since 1964. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, its Altar Society and The League of Catholic Women.

She enjoyed reading and playing cards. Surviving to cherish her memory are one son and two daughters, Wayne “Tom” and Kathy Easterling, Saginaw; Kathleen M. and George St. Mary, Perrysburg, Ohio; Janice E. and Steve Lendzion, Howell; a daughter-in-law, Judy Easterling, Carrollton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;5 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia and Richard Metevia, Saginaw; Frances “Colleen” Passariello, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her son, Alvin “Skip” Easterling; a granddaughter, Rebecca Easterling; and two brothers, Robert E. Packard and Albert “Bud” Packard.

A special thank you to Safe Hands Warm Hearts and Americans Home Health and Hospice Care. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington, Saginaw. Rev.

Fr. Thai Nguyen and Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

(between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
