Norma Ruth Dugger September 05, 1938 – March 28, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries Norma Ruth Irick Dugger, 80, Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord & Savior Thursday, March 28, 2019 from the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. & Etta Oakes Irick. She was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State College.

She was employed at North American Rayon Corporation and the Magnavox Corporation prior to her retirement. Norma was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church where she was a member of the church choir. She loved quilting, sewing and knitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Steve Dugger November 2018, two brothers: Jack & B. Irick and a sister: Vesta Bowman. Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Clyde Dugger. Her Children: Glenn Dugger & wife Greta, Daytona Beach, Florida and Sherry Ayers & husband Steve, Johnson City.

Her Daughter-in-law: Ginger Dugger, Her Brother: Ted Irick, Roan Mountain, and her sister: Lois Morrell, Piney Flats. Seven Grandchildren: Nathan Dugger, Bethany Wachterman, Emily Dugger, Ian Dugger,Makia Tenner, Austin Ayers, and Eli Ayers. Several nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler, Minister officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Whitehead Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Valley Forge Christian Church Choir and Frieda Winters, Harpist.

Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
