Norma Wells Hopper, 78, Trenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep, April 1, 2019. Norma was born to the late Floyd and Louise Ferren, February 17, 1941, Ward, Arkansas. Norma earned both Graduate Equivalent and Licensed Practical Nursing degrees.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse until her retirement. She passionately provided care to patients living in nursing and assisted living facilities for her entire career. Norma married Howard Wells, March 4, 1957, in Searcy, Arkansas.

She was his dedicated wife and partner until his passing on August 18, 1988. She married Joe D. Hopper, August 18, 1990, and was his dedicated wife and partner until his passing April 6, 2011. Surviving is her son, Earl Wells and his wife Patty, Jackson, Tennessee; Daughters, Karen Miller and her husband Brian, Trenton, Ohio, Connie Danley and her husband Charles, Poth, Texas; Stepson, Joe E. Hopper, Little Rock, Arkansas; Stepdaughter, Teresa Hopper, Searcy, Arkansas; one sister, Linda Rolett Roberson and her husband Robbie; Eleven grandchildren, Fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three brothers, Gary, Eddie and Hugh Ferren; her son, Gerald Wells, her grandson, Drew Miller, and her great-grandson, Joey Miller. Norma was loved by all and always seen the good in every soul. She had a long fuse but, her temper was as hot as the peppers she loved to consume at every meal.

She loved her children with all her heart and soul and gave all she could to assist in their successes. She did not fear death; she knew and believed with all her might that passing from this life was only the beginning of her eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We applaud a life well lived and a lifesong for all to emulate.

Viewing will be Friday, April 5, 2019, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, funeral service at 3:00 PM respectfully at the Powell Funeral Home, 2602 Beebe Capps Expwy, Searcy, Arkansas.
