Doyce Marshall Shumate, 89, of Searcy, died Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born February 3, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, the son of Ira and Blanche Shumate.

Doyce is survived by a son, Doyce Marshall Shumate, Jr. and wife Jacquelynn of Nashville, Tennessee; a daughter DiAnn Jones and husband Steve of St Charles, Missouri; a second son, Don Shumate and wife Kay of Coppell, Texas; grandchildren Justin Jones (Lesley), Amber Jones Hale (Matthew), Alexandrea Cantrell (T.J.), Olivia Shumate, Macaully Shumate and Jake Shumate; and one great-grandchild, Leon Cantrell; two brothers, Clifton Shumate of Arlington, Texas and Dean Shumate of Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; and a grandson, Keith Travis Shumate.
