Obituary for Norma White Norma White, 85, of Owensville, passed away Wednesday July 25, 2018. She was born in Wabash County, Illinois, on December 18, 1932 to the late Henry Peach and Delphia (Marlowe) Peach. Norma was a member of First Christian Church of Owensville and devoted her life to serving the Lord.
She retired from Owensville Elementary school where she worked in the cafeteria. She loved to see her students every day. She enjoyed baking and sharing her baked goods with her friends and family.
Norma was an avid IU basketball fan, and St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. Norma’s greatest treasures were her five grand-children and six great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband Darrell White, who passed away in 2001.
She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Two brothers: Robert Peach and Herman Peach; and one sister, Eleanor Mounts. Norma is survived by her children: Deanna (Dale) Tobias, Phillip White, and Rebecca (Robert) Crawford; grandchildren: Matt (Leah) Heldt, Erin Tobias, Shaun (Angie) White, Brooke Tobias, and Brent White and his fiance, Melanie Benton; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Walter “Lano” (Ginger) Peach, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 am Monday, July 30, 2018, at Holders Funeral Home, with Bart Newton officiating. Burial to follow at Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Holders Funeral Home, and 9:30 am to 10:30 am Monday, at the funeral home.
