Obituary of Oliver Keagy Oliver Keagy, age 87, of Asheboro died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Keagy was born March 6, 1931 in Jasonville, Indiana, the son of James and Maggie Keagy Mr. Keagy was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Korean War. He retired from General Motors in Anderson, Indiana after 30 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Mae Keagy. Oliver moved to North Carolina in 1998, where he and his wife continued their clown ministries. He was an accomplished quilt maker and woodworker.

He enjoyed doing for others, painting, doing cross stitch, and traveling with his family. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Gouldsbery Keagy; son and his wife: Thomas “Tom” and Natallia Keagy of Rocky Mount; daughter and her husband: Phyllis and Duane Culler of Chapel Hill; grandchildren: James “Jim” and his wife Diana Keagy of Holly Springs, and Jonathan Chase Culler and Jacqueline Chea Culler. He loved his family dearly and was generous and kind by nature to all who knew him.

His life exemplified the attributes of Christ. “Well done good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:23. Oliver will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. A. W. Waddell officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens, Asheboro with the Randolph County Honor Guard providing military honors.
