Obituary of Rebecca “Becky” Craven Rebecca “Becky” Presnell Craven, age 85, of Asheboro passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro surrounded by her family. Becky was born December 6, 1932 at Asheboro, NC the daughter of Stanton and Helen Amick Presnell. Becky enjoyed playing softball and basketball during her school years and loved watching college basketball.

She worked at Randolph Hospital in Physical Therapy for more than 20 years. Becky loved working with patients and had special bonds with many of them. After retiring she relocated to the Holden Beach area until her recent return to Asheboro.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded by her husband: Franklin Monroe Craven; son: Franklin Timothy Craven; grandson: Spencer Franklin Kass and sister: Sarah Presnell Hatcher. She is survived by her son: Phillip Robert Craven of Greensboro, NC; daughters: Lisa Craven Kass (Barry) of Greenville, NC and Maria Dawn Craven of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren: Brandon James Craven (Teresa) of Greenville, TN, Matthew Ryan Craven (Amy) of Johnson City, TN, Leslie Yvonne Craven of Greenville, TN, Alexander Martin Kass of Raleigh, NC and Grayson Adam Kass of Greenville, NC; sisters: Kathy Presnell Coe (Bobby) of Ramseur, NC and Barbara Presnell Strider (Gary) of Asheboro, NC; brothers: Marty Presnell (Georgia) of Archdale, NC and Gene Presnell (Bernie) of Reno, NV and special cousin: Ruth Ann (Rich) Schuster of NH. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of her daughter: Maria Craven.

A graveside service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Franklinville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hwy 22, Franklinville with Rev. Gary Mason officiating.
