Obituary of Ruth Eddinger Ruth Simmons Eddinger, age 83, of Randleman passed peacefully Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home. Ruth was born February 11, 1935 the daughter of Homer Lee and Mattie Cornell Ausley Simmons. Mrs. Eddinger was native of Burlington and a homemaker.

Ruth was a member of Central Falls Baptist Church where she was an assistant Sunday School teacher, former assistant choir director, loved gospel music and her church family and friends. She was artistically inclined, enjoyed painting, arranging flowers and working in her flower garden. Ruth loved to go flounder fishing and especially enjoyed her time riding in their 53 and 55 Chevrolets.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister: Betty Simmons. She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Fred Richard Eddinger; daughter: Donna Williams of Trinity; son: Michael “Mike” Eddinger of Randleman; grandchildren: Miranda (Matthew) Lambeth, Megan (Chayne) Staley, Mallory (Casey) Croyle, Zachary Eddinger; grandchildren: Kaleb Lambeth, Eva Lambeth, Jackson Lambeth, Karlie Staley, Jace Staley; Miah Williams and Calisse Croyle; brother: Richard L. (Inez) Simmons of Edgewater, FLA. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2:30 – 3:45 PM at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd.

, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating.

Burial will be in the Clear View Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklinville.
