Obituary for Mrs. Ophelia Estelle Jamerson Rogers Ophelia Estelle Jamerson Rogers, beloved wife of the late John Ernest Rogers, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, April 9th at the Cottingham Hospice House. Granny Rogers, as she was called by so many, was a resident at Lila Doyle Nursing Home for three years. She was a precious woman who loved so many and will be missed by so many.

She was a homemaker, seamstress, master cook and gardener; however, best of all she was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all. She is survived by her children: Jane Frasier (Dennis), John Rogers (Sally), Don Rogers (Glenda); grandchildren: Christee King (Mark), Will Rogers (Chrissy), Casey Rogers, Denise Powell (Mark), Brooke Garren (Rick); great-grandchildren: Hannah and Adam King, Miakoda and Cheyanne Rogers, Dylan Patrick, Anna Alloggio, Silas and Merritt Powell, and Emily Dobbins; great-great grandchild: Graceland Porter; sisters: Brenda Mahoney, Janet Ponder, Siva Rogers and a brother: Bob Jamerson. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Alma Crowe Jamerson, husband of 55 years, John Ernest Rogers; son: Bill Rogers; grandchildren: Alli Dobbins and Paul Rogers; sisters: Idell Berry, Mildred Rogers, Ruth Aiken, Shirley Ashe; brothers: Ed Jamerson, Larry Jamerson (MIA), Charles Jamerson and William Jamerson.

Services will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where she worshiped and loved, on Wednesday, April 10 at 11:00 AM with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery where she will be laid next to her beloved, husband, son, grandson, and great-granddaughter. Flowers are accepted or you may make a donation to the Building Fund at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 253 Oconee Station Road, Walhalla, SC 29691.
