Ora Eugene Turner, age 91 of Welch’s Creek passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Bowling Green. He was born on September 26, 1927 in Butler County the son of the late Acie and Artie Nash Turner. He was a member of Welch’s Creek Union General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dessie Lacefield Turner, 12 children, Barbara Phelps, Bobby Turner, Sandra Elmore, Marilyn Burns, Judy Bratcher, Tresea Bratcher, Jimmy Turner, David Turner, Timmy Turner, Lisa Rayner, James Turner and Mark Turner, one sister, Joyce Vanbussum, two brothers, Ruben Anderson Turner and Charles Turner, Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Erdest Turner. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2019 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville.

Burial will be in the Curtiss-Woosley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Caneyville Memorial Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Turner.
