Randall D. Brown, 70, Owensboro, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Daviess County to the late O.E. (Ollie) Brown & Virginia Blue Brown. He was retired from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet where he served as transportation coordinator and auditor for the Federal Highway Administrative Office and Motor Carrier Safety Office.

Randall was a six year veteran of the U.S. Army and he was a member of First Baptist Church and the Pathfinder Sunday School Class. He graduated from Daviess County High School in 1967 and attended Kentucky Wesleyan College. He enjoyed antiques, soccer, watching UK Basketball and vacationing in the Caribbean.

He adored his grandchildren and his dog, Maggie. Randall always did things for his family to make their lives easier. Randall was very thankful for his wife, who donated a kidney to him in 2005.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Debbie; his daughter, Cassie (Brad) Smith; his son, Matt (Amber) Brown; three grandchildren, Aidan and Brady Smith and Parker Brown; a brother, George (Phyllis) Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be noon on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory officiated by Dr. Paul Strahan. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Private burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to Drs. Maru, Keeley, Mourad, Concepcion and Matthews and to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the great care they gave Randall over the years.
