Patricia A. Bennett November 8, 1934 – December 29, 2018 Mrs. Patricia Ann Bennett, 84, of Frederick, passed away on December 29, 2018. She was married to Richard V. Bennett Sr., deceased in June 2018, for 58 years. They were married July 9, 1960.

Born November 8, 1934, in Dillonvale, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Freda and Bill Smith. Her parents passed away when she was a child and she was raised by her aunts and her late stepmother, Dolly Stratton. She traveled regularly back to Ohio to visit her family and friends and attended the Oldtimers Reunion every year at the Holloway High School.

She worked as a secretary in Ohio and then worked for Frederick County Public School in Food Service during her later years, from which she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard, going to the movies, playing cards, eating out, and shopping. She is survived by three children, Bill Bennett, Richard Bennett Jr., and Deborah Scheffel and one grandson, Trevor Scheffel.

Funeral services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Frederick County Animal Control, 1832 Rosemont Ave, Frederick, MD 21702 The Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church Street, is in charge of arrangements.
