Patricia Ann Rodgers March 15, 1950 – January 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Patricia Ann Rodgers, 68, of Hugoton, passed away January 2, 2019, at her home. She was born on March 15, 1950, in Burlington, Kansas, the youngest of the fifteen children of Elmer Emmitt and Lena Mae (Allen) Robinson. She grew up in Burlington, and graduated from Burlington High School in 1969.

On June 19, 1971, Patricia was married to Ralph Rodgers at the Christian Church in Burlington. They moved to Emporia and operated the Campus Skelly Servicenter, where Patricia took an impactful role as a mechanic and servicing vehicles. In 1979, they moved to Hugoton, where they operated Ralph’s Automotive, an auto parts store.

She and Ralph were divorced in 1996, and she worked at the AmPride convenience store in Hugoton for several years. In more recent years, she had worked and volunteered as a caretaker for elderly residents in Hugoton. Patricia was a free spirit and a hard worker, with endless energy.

She adored her grandchildren, and loved balloons. She made all sorts of arts and crafts, and designed colorful clothes especially for the holidays. She sang everywhere, especially at church and karaoke.

She was a member of the Church of God and American Legion Auxiliary in Hugton. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her nine brothers Elmer, Larry, Gary, Vernon, Jimmy, Floyd, Jerry, Donald, and Junior Robinson; and by four of her sisters Cordie Mae Robinson, Mildred Weimer, Lois Robinson, and Louise Evans. She is survived by her daughters, Misty Goff (Jordan) of Dixon, Illinois, and Stacy Rodgers (Tanner Wise) of Wichita; eight grandchildren, Kaler Rodgers (Alexandra), Isaic Sanchez, Abigail and Izabelle Goff, Elizabeth Owens, Cynthia and Gabriel Miranda, and Michael Wise; a great-granddaughter, Emilia Rodgers; a sister, Carolyn Evans of Wichita; her dear friend and neighbor, Hedy Lairmore; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, Kansas, with burial following at Graceland Cemetery. A memorial service will also be held at the Church of God in Hugoton (801 W. City Limits, Hugoton, KS 67951), at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 12.
