Patricia J Pat Weaver, December 11, 1946 — December 23, 2018

Obituary for Patricia J. “Pat” Weaver Patricia Joan “Pat” Watkins Weaver of Muskogee passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born in Marfa, Texas, in 1946 to Noble and Mildred Berniece Watkins. Pat married Gary, the love of her life, in El Paso, Texas, in 1975.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmomma and always made her family’s happiness her priority. Pat and Gary had a daughter, Amanda Ruth Weaver, who preceded her in death. Their son, Michael Smith, married Leslie Kinsey Smith and has three children: Riley Smith, Bailey Smith, and Kinsey Smith, of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Her dearest friends, John and Carolyn Lonsdale, have become family. Pat is survived by her sister, Ruth Taylor, of Temple, Texas and preceded by her sister Barbara Robinson of Bedford, Texas. Pat was well known for her generous spirit, and while a Longhorns fan, she made sure all who love the University of Oklahoma were set for life with Sooner gear.

She never met a stranger or a project she couldn’t manage, or a challenge she couldn’t solve. She fiercely loved her family and friends, and reveled in time spent with all whom she loved and those who loved her as well. Pat earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.

A manager with JCPenney for over 30 years, Pat couldn’t see herself retiring and slowing down, and took a job with the Okay School District for 10 years as the elementary school secretary. Pat enjoyed traveling, seeking new adventures, and living life to its fullest. Pat was the heart of our family and will be remembered with love and laughter.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the following charitable foundations would be appreciated: Folds of Honor, the Disabled American Veterans, or the Gary Sinise Foundation. A celebration of Pat’s life will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Okay School Gymnasium with Pastor Ken Krepps officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Smith, Bailey Smith, Kinsey Smith, Tony Griffin, Jerry Griffin, Thomas Carter, David Lonsdale, Stephanie Lonsdale and Daniel Lonsdale.
