OBITUARY Patricia L Blackadar June 17, 1949 – October 31, 2018 Portland – Patricia L. Blackadar, 69, passed away at her home on October 31, 2018. Patty was born in Portland on June 17, 1949, the daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Fiato) LeClaire. Patty grew up in an Italian neighborhood of East Deering and attended Portland schools.

After graduation, Patty went on to make a career of being a bookkeeper and travel agent. Her most important role was being the mom to her two children, Amy and Josh. She enjoyed spending time with her children and being an active grandmother, traveling, gardening, and hosting holidays with family and friends.

She was fiercely funny, witty, and loyal. Her sense of humor endeared her to all she came in contact with, as she was fond of saying “everybody needs a good laugh”. Patty is survived by her daughter, Amy Pompeo; her son, Joshua Blackadar and wife Erin Pappal; her granddaughters, Sophia, Lucia and Joey; her grandpugs, Losesome and Crow and many nieces and cousins.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 4-7 P.M. at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral 199 Woodford St. Portland, ME. Prayers will be recited at 10:15 A.M. on November 12, 2018 at Jones, Rich and Barnes. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church 492 Ocean Ave.
