A funeral service will be held at 7PM. Patricia Lynn Whitaker, 75, of Lake Katrine, N.Y. died Sunday January 13, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 16, 1943 in Saugerties, N.Y., she is the daughter of the late Bernice (Lasher) Faerber. She is the beloved wife of 54 years to Charles Henry Whitaker, loving mother of her two daughters; Donna Lynn Wolf and her husband Bruce of Hurley, Denise Lynn Hornbeck and her husband Jon of Lake Katrine, loving grandmother to; Julia Anna and Danielle Elizabeth Wolf, and Gabrielle Lynn and Joshua Charles Hornbeck. She is also survived by her youngest brother Gary B. Faerber of Kingston and sister-in-law Lynn Powers-Faerber of Maine, sister-in-law Dorothy Whitaker, brother-in-law Clifford Whitaker of Eddyville as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins whom also survive.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her younger brother, Robert B. Faerber of Maine. Patricia and her family are very grateful for the home health care aides who provided continuous companionship and personal care during her long-term illness; Valerie Brown, Audrey Long, and her niece Sandy Oyola as well others. She was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1961.

After high school she worked for her family business, and later also worked at Barclay Knitwear, Micronetics, Sears, Ramada Inn, Holiday Inn and Ten Broeck Commons. Her last job which was her favorite, by far, was caregiving for her twin granddaughters from birth to school age. Pat enjoyed warm sunny days and the beach.

She loved music from the 50’s and 60’s, with Elvis being her favorite artist. She took great delight in traveling, shopping, driving and savored chocolate. Her greatest reward in life was her family who always came first and brought her extreme joy!

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
