Robert V. Post 150, American Legion will conduct a ritual at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday at the St. James United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery. ROBERT V. WORDEN 73, of Town of Ulster died at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus on Sunday December 30, 2018. Born March 6, 1945 in Middletown New York he is a son of the late Otis Worden and Gladys (Crossman) Worden.

Bob served his country in The United States Army during The Vietnam War era. He was employed for over 35 years at Kingston Auto Supply (NAPA), retiring as General Manager. Currently employed at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus as a Shuttle bus driver and retired Security Guard.

A man of service, he was a past member of the Ulster County Auxiliary Police and Spring Lake Fire Department. Lifelong member and volunteer at Saint James United Methodist Church and a member of Kingston Post 150 American Legion and a former member of Plutarch Sportsmen Club. He enjoyed spending leisure time with his family and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife; Barbara (Quick) Worden; his sons, Charles L. Worden and his wife Patricia, Dwayne Worden (Alma Steinhilber) and daughter Robin Elizabeth Worden; his brother Frank Worden; his sister, Joyce Eck; his extended family, Tariq Gujar, Arshad Mahmood, Borny and Raiyan, Mr. and Mrs. Todd Coutant and his feline companion, Midnight. Several brothers and sisters predeceased him. He also has many nieces and nephews.

The Worden family would like to express their gratitude to the Oncology Nursing Staff at HealthAlliance, Broadway Campus for their kindness and compassion in the care of Robert. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the St. James United Methodist Church, 35 Pearl Street Kingston, New York 12401.
