Obituary for Patricia Rose Kakalow (Danick) Patricia Rose (Danick) Kakalow, age 70, of West Haven, beloved wife to James L. Kakalow, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on January 26, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Alma (Cusano) Danick. Patricia graduated high school from the Sacred Heart Academy and later enjoyed a career in management for the electrical engineering department at Yale University for over 37 years.

She was an avid sports fan and especially liked the Boston Red Sox and UConn Women’s Basketball. Most importantly, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Jim, Patricia is survived by her children Karen (Daniel) Daley of North Branford, Greg Kakalow of New Haven, granddaughter Erin Daley, and sister Barbara Poulimas. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Monday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Saint Lawrence Church at 10:00.

Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
