OBITUARY Patricia S. O’Grady May 10, 1932 – January 13, 2019 Patricia S. O’Grady, 86 of Arlington Heights was born May 10, 1932 in Chicago to Paul and Helen (nee Quinn) Skepnek and passed away January 13, 2019. Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. O’Grady; loving mother of Eileen (Stephen) Daday, Margaret “Peggy” (Dennis) Leetzow, Julieanne O’Grady, Maureen (John) Vaughn, Daniel (Lara) O’Grady, Mary-Alice (Tom) Sullivan, David (Kim) O’Grady and the late Sheila O’Grady; cherished grandmother of 25; and great-grandmother of 6. Patricia graduated in 1954 from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, IN.

She majored in English and always dreamed of becoming a teacher. However, she married Art within months of graduating from college and together they raised their large family in Arlington Heights. Though she did not teach students in a classroom, Patricia instilled in all of her children a love of reading and music, as well as a great devotion to the Catholic faith.

Patricia enjoyed playing bridge and golf, but most of all she loved hearing about all of her grandchildren and their many accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her dear sisters Jeanne Marie (late Kenneth) Bell and Joan Skepnek. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Thursday, January 17 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Street, Arlington Heights from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Save-the-Children Foundation, 501 Kings Highway East, Fairfield, CT 06825 appreciated.
