Obituary for Patrick Earl Henry Patrick Earl Henry, “Grumpy”, 77, passed away in Ogden, UT surrounded by loving family on February 20, 2018. He was born June 28, 1940 in Sterling, CO to Robert Lee and Ruth Schrader Henry. He married Patricia Ann Malone in Las Vegas, NV on November 28, 1969.

He grew up in North East Colorado where he received his elementary education and graduated from Sterling High School. He moved to California in 1964 and then traveled to various areas in Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona and Utah as his work required. He worked in the Construction Industry for many years.

Where he was well respected throughout the industry as a true mentor and expert. He started out on his own and then went to work for Gibbons and Reed Construction and Granite Construction until he retired. Patrick was known as a “Master Story Teller”.

He loved to Dutch Oven Cook and to BBQ. Rocky Mountain Oysters were his specialty. He was a known to be a professional tinkerer.

He loved to make things including bird houses and yard art. He enjoyed Rodeo where he competed in Team Roping and was a “True Cowboy” at heart. He felt at home around horses and cattle.

The grand kids knew him as the inventor of The Red Eyed Green Eyed Monster. He loved to travel and enjoyed learning about the different places he would go. He is survived by his Wife: Patricia; Children: Dennis M. Stephens (Patricia), Michael W. Henry (Liz); 7 Grandchildren: Jason (Christal), Sandy, Christy (Jed), Stacy (Stuart), Tiffany (Christine), Mike Jr., Matthew; 12 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Guy Henry (Dorothy), Mike Henry (Pati), Sylvia Thompson, Kayo Henry (Hyongko) and Betty Jo Stanstead (Mike).

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter Debra Clark (Jack), Grandson Martin J. Stephens; Great Granddaughter: Andi Stucki and Brother Robert Henry (Sally). The family will gather for Graveside Services at a later date at the Kern River Valley Cemetery District where his Cremated Remains will be laid to rest. The family suggests donations be made to the Nuui Cunni Native American Intertribal Cultural Center, P.O.
