Patsy “Pooter” Dinnocenzo, life long resident of Linhart / Turtle Creek, age 95, was born to eternal life on June 19, 2018 in the loving company of his family. Born on January 9, 1923, he was the son of Giuseppe and Jennie (Nese) Dinnocenzo. Survived by his brother John (Edith) Dinnocenzo and sisters Flora Dinnocenzo and Katherine Marinelli and predeceased by sisters Rose Rossetti and Sandra Kuretich and brother Anthony Dinnocenzo.

Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews, who fondly remember his kindness and generosity, including: Debra (Rick Swegan) Dinnocenzo, Mary (Bob) Bencivenga, Anthony (Cindy) Rossetti, Jennifer (Tom) Sweeney, Joseph (Olesya) Dinnocenzo, John Dinnocenzo, Rosemary (Paul) Cercone, James Marinelli, Joseph (Colleen) Rossetti, Cindy (Jim) Omstrom, Susan Patterson, David Kuretich the late Anthony Dinnocenzo and many great nieces and nephews to whom he was always generous. Patsy was a devoted and deeply generous brother and uncle. He was an excellent golfer, loved football and hockey, and left many monuments to his trade as a bricklayer.

He was a good friend to many and will long be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and stories about winning the war with General Patton. Patsy was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School (1940) and the University of Miami and a very proud World War II Army Veteran. Patsy was lovingly cared for by the staff at Sunrise Senior Living in McCandless, where he resided for the past 6-1/2 years.

He also enjoyed the deep caring and vigilant attention of his brother John Dinnocenzo and his devoted nieces, Debra Dinnocenzo and Mary Bencivenga. Friends welcome Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, 412-824-8800 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 am at St. Colman Church.

Everyone is asked to meet at church. Patsy will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Braddock Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people remember to treasure each precious day we are given and to live with a kind heart.
