Obituary for Paul A. Koehler Paul A. Koehler, 86, passed away on July 23, 2018, with his family by his side. Paul graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1950. He retired from Naval Ordnance Station as the supervisor of Tool Design in F Bldg after 29 years of service.

Paul was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Pewee Valley, where he participated in several ministries, a charter member of the Order of the Otter, a volunteer at Baptist Health Louisville and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society and Knights of Columbus Mt. Mercy Council. He was a Boy Scout leader for Holy Name Troop 66 and St. Thomas More Troop 144.

Paul was also in the senior groups at St. Aloysius and Immaculate Conception. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Angela “Tutie” Koehler; parents, Sigmund and Gesina; stepfather, Howard; siblings, Thomas Eugene, Raymond Joseph, and Ann Marie. Paul is survived by his children, Steve Koehler, DVM (Barb), Keith Koehler (Lisa), Karen Whelan (Jeff), Lee Koehler and Jeanette Koehler; grandchildren, Paul, Stephanie and Lawrence Koehler, Miranda Timmons (Levi), Samantha and Zachary Koehler, Alison Washburn (Travis), Kristen Compton (Tim), Lauren Novak (Kyle), Jessica Kramer (Nick), Bradley and Christopher Mackin.

He also leaves behind 9 great-grandchildren and siblings, Rita, Mary, Rose and Charlie. His Funeral mass will be celebrated on July 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Drive, Pewee Valley.

Visitation will be July 25, 2018, from 3-8 p.m. with a Toast of Remembrance from 4:30-5:00, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass from 9-10 a.m. at the church. The Family would like to thank the CBC Group and the 3 Park Outpatient Treatment Room Team at Baptist Health Louisville as well as Paul’s home health care team.
