Obituary for Paul Andrew LaMotte Paul Andrew LaMotte, 73 of Greenville, N.C. passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center. He was born in Bedford, England on January 26, 1945 to the late Joseph and Melita LaMotte. He is survived by his wife, Donna LaMotte of Greenville, NC, Son, Richard H. LaMotte and wife, Laurie of New Bern, NC, Brother-in-law, Linwood Allegood of Ayden, NC and grand-daughter, Meghan Wise, currently serving in the United States Navy.

Paul was known for his humor, his love for music and singing, traveling, eating pasta and, of course, just “riding around in his Lexus convertible”. His athletic prowess was larger than life. He excelled in baseball, football and golf.

He was an avid golfer, having won several club championships and many golf tournaments in his earlier years. He loved The Washington Redskins, The Carolina Panthers and East Carolina Pirates. Paul graduated from Grainger High School, Kinston, NC.

Spent 3 years in the U.S. Army where he was on the golf team and sang in a rock band in his spare time. He attended the College of William and Mary and the University of Louisville, KY. He spent years in the Banking, Insurance and Real Estate industry prior to his retirement.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Ayden Christian Church, 462 2nd Street, Ayden, NC. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm and funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Ayden Town Cemetery, 221 S West Ave, Ayden, NC.
