Obituary for Paul Kevin Baron Paul Kevin Baron, 58, of Johnstown, formerly of Monessen, PA, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 after a brave battle with liver cancer. Born on May 5, 1960, he was the son of the late Paul J. Baron and Jean (Bolek) Baron of Monessen. He is survived by his loving sister, Carol Bilsky and her husband, Ed (Buzz) of Belle Vernon, PA, nephews; Marc Bilsky of Belle Vernon, PA and Brad Bilsky of Brevard, NC, a brother, John Baron and his wife, Eileen, and nephew, Alex Baron of Pittsburgh.

Paul was currently employed as a business analyst at GTL in Altoona, PA. He graduated in 1978 as Valedictorian from Monessen High School. Paul earned Bachelor’s degrees with honors in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College in 1982, Math and Computer Science degrees from California University of PA in 1986, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 1989.

Paul was a die-hard sports fan especially Pitt and Steeler’s football. He also was an avid runner who regularly competed in many 5K, 10K, and half and full marathons across the tri state area including most recently the Pittsburgh Marathon in May 2018. He was a great friend with a keen analytical mind who will be sorely missed.
