Obituary for Paula Christa Sullivan It is with great sadness the family of Paula Sullivan announces her passing on Sunday, January 6, at the age of 98. She was born in Mochmuhl, Germany. She went to school and received her RN degree in Frankfurt, Germany.

She served as a nurse during World War II, married an American GI, (Sam West) and came to America on December 7th of 1947. She became an American citizen just a few years later. Here in the states she worked and retired from ARA Food Services after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sullivan. She is survived by her children, son, Juergen West (Cathy), daughter Sandra Carpenter (Ralph), grandchildren, Nathan West and Jason West, three great grandchildren. Several Nieces and nephews in Germany.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 9 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral home on Church Street in Marietta, Ga. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Paula to the Cherokee Humane Society of Cherokee County.
